Perhaps one of the most critical performance items on a 1/10th off-road buggy is the rear wing. Drivers are constantly searching for the optimum balance between steering and forward stability. The new Aero wing has intriguing details, a leading edge that drops below the mounting point that acts in a scooping manner. The center “V channel” flows off the wing matching the rear tower geometry and the mounting area drops the wing at just the correct height and position. The side-dams feature large openings for tire clearance and expansion.

While most of America was humming the tune of the hit movie Ghost Busters, Ford Motor Company was busy dropping the latest edition of the best selling pick-up in the world, the 1984 Ford F-150. Pop-culture was buzzing with classic one-liners such as “Where’s the Beef” or the famous line delivered by Arnold Schwarzenegger “I’ll be back.” However, in the truck world, Ford was on the verge of creating a classic of their own. JConcepts is quick to offer this officially licensed mainstay to the scale world of radio control.

The seventh generation of the Ford F-Series is distinguished by its squarer look, sharper lines and flatter panels, the trucks were designed with the working man in mind. The “Blue Oval,” a trademark of all Ford pickups, makes a striking appearance centered in the grille. Stout fender flares are carved ever so carefully into the panels while openings allow for a vast assortment of tires on the market. The F-150 single-cab look is strong and is a careful reminder of a time when passengers sat side-by-side during a typical outing.

Dirt Racing Products New Release – Shock Tower Hole Plugs

No one likes adjustments more than Brian “Dirt” Kinwald however; unused shock tower holes often get cramped with dirt, annoying any racer. Kinwald’s latest fix is to fill these unused holes by simply pulling rubber plugs through the holes to help eliminate the problem. The Dirt Racing Product features 10 pieces of the nifty plugs in each package which are black in color and blend in with surrounding items.

To use, slide the plug into the hole starting from the smaller diameter end. Pull until the end is flush with shock tower surface and carefully using a hobby knife, cut off the plug flush on the other side. Each plug fills approximately 2-3 holes so a package of 10 can easily outfit several vehicles in a racers’ arsenal.
